A scarcity of heroin in England is leading to a growing number of drug overdoses and poisonings as users ingest dope cut with other substances by dealers trying to stretch supplies, The Guardian reported this week. Scene watchers there are calling it the worst drought in years.

"There is a very significant heroin shortage across the UK at the moment," said Gary Cross, head of drug policy for the non-profit group Release. "It has been going on for some time now, but the last two months have seen stockpiles exhausted."
"I've never known anything like it in 30 years," wrote one long-time heroin user on an on-line forum discussing the shortage.
As dealers and users scramble to grapple with the shortage, users are turning up at hospitals after ingesting adulterated heroin or, in some cases, fake heroin consisting of a powerful sedative, caffeine, and paracetamol, a bulking agent. Some have passed out after smoking or ingesting, while others have reported vomiting, amnesia, and flu-like symptoms.
"This 'heroin drought' appears to be serious and geographically widespread," said Neil Hunt, director of research at KCA, a nationwide community drug treatment service. "Street heroin is in a complete and utter muddle at the moment, and users are collapsing unexpectedly. We need to standardize information about what's out there.
"If people use this intravenously, perhaps on top of alcohol and methadone [the prescribed substitute drug for heroin], it is extremely risky," said Dr. John Ramsey, who runs a drug database at St. George's Medical School in London. "We have had many reports of people overdosing. It's really important that accident and emergency departments understand that they may not be dealing with a 'normal' heroin overdose when people are brought in," he said.
Harm reduction drug agencies are aware of the problem and working to address it. Several of them held an urgent meeting last week to discuss setting up an online warning system to give users notice about contaminated or adulterated drugs.

People are askin the question about the TCP taste, i have a good theory, as i have been given Lefoxadine/Britlofex by my doctor which takes away about 30% of withdrawl symptoms, as im not on a script, i was on one, ( meth ) lefoxadine tablets has VERY strong smell n taste of TCP. I gave it up after 2 yrs as i wanted to come off, and knowing its harder to come off then H, i stopped it in May this year ( so regretted now though ) as heard about shortedge about a month ago, since then, i have either bought crap ( prob magic/bash) or something that holds me for an hour or so, i got lucky about 3 days ago, had proper stuff, only a bag, then yesterday, got lucky again, but now its bad, i live in Plymouth, the scoucers run about 90% of it down here, im now terrified, i think its cold turkey time for me, wish me luck, as im going crazy trying to keep the tenners rolling in, for what, F**k all....how long will this last for...

hi everyone firstly shirley you really make me laugh!! when u said bout sitting in the toilet at work smoking and blown the smoke down your jumper!! ive done that so many times! anyway just to let u all know things seem to be getting a bit better here in birmingham ppl are turning back on again every day, its not the best gear in the world but it is GEAR not that shit that runs clean and tastes like fresh air. there is decent gear about but if u can manage to get to the dealers window without gettin smacked in the mouth your lucky.100 + ppl round the car whille the wanker sits there making thousands in the 20 mins that hes on for! CUNT!! anyway managed to get some half decent stuff today so im really hopin that things are lookin up now and we'll all have a brown christmas!! good luck everyone:))

Im from Rotherham,iv been very interested in reading everyones comments on here. I have got to say i realy do feel for the peeps not scripted up. Round these ends have been absolutley shit,when the drought first hit odd bits of really good gear were coming through but that went no quicker than it was getting here,and as Shirley and other people have mentioned its been like food parcels in 3rd world countries when it has landed....ON TOP TO DEATH!.
I have only scored 3 times in the last month and half and i havent had so many new clothes and ps3 games in a long time.I look a million times better (i think) and feel sweeetttt.Im a methadone addict,prescribed like,and when the gear was normal would score at least 3 times a week if not all week,but would get the days were i would be determined to give up.
Iv had one dealer ring me twice on different occasions saying the gear had changed when it hadent,the first time i parted with 25 quid the second only a tenner. But more fool him if he has to drive around skanking heroin addicts out of a tenner. Im not the one thats skint pal!,and its been the TCP shit all the way.Their is some other but its not worth having,the gears not good plus it 0.1 for a tenner.
So with a mix of getting skanked,shit deals,having new clothes and feeling better i say thankyou drought for giving me the kick up the arse that i needed.Just hope i can maintain it if good gear ever gets here.
I hope all you people suffering get some form of help quick time,try to keep your heads up.

About that "Eagle Has Landed" post I made yesterday...Perhaps with a very low tolerance and over optimism,, I made a quick judgement....There was defo gear in it as when I had my first 2 toots I could clearly taste it..but I noticed, as I was getting towards the end of the gear,..It was doing very little in the way of giving me any type of gouge..Of course the first two lines I felt I had hit the jackpot..but then the rest of the bag seemed tasteless..Its funny that, eh! Anyway, I went and bought another this morning and had without any meths inside me, hoping it would make that difference - Unfortunately - No NOD again..I think there is a little gear in this stuff but seems like it has been bashed to fuck!! So I must take back yesterdays comment and say that it seems better than the TCP tasting - Silicon shit we were all so very used to as the drought was peaking..but I think things can only get better! Although its gonna be at least after xmas until I think we will see real improvements...So im gonna stick to my Methadone.

Kinser again,,,Well, as I said above. The gear yesterday even tasted like pre-drought and on the first 2 lines I thought I was on to a winner, However, as I got near to the end and was recycling my totting guns! I realised I was missing something!! Ahh yes!! Theres no gouge!! Oh fuck..optimism and low tolerance, a junkies worse nightmare!! So, I whipped another £ten together, and tried the same dealer. I was convinced there must be gear in it!! I bought one and held off from taking my meth for 24hrs - to see if that would give me the Nod..but again..No sign of a nod! - I think it will be at least after xmas before we begin to see real improvements - so f**k it, im sticking to my methadone until after the new year! Keep safe all and good luck..and yes I think we should all carry on using this blog to stay intouch,, even when we can get decent tackle..It would be a great resource to keep us up to date with any dodgy gear or droughts in future,,plus it would be a great place to keep in touch just as friends (bloggers)- I feel I know you all and we all seem to have so much in common - even our sense of humours..Shirley - Zara - Sue - and others on here. Currently live in Taunton SW. first started using 16yrs ago funded soley by crime. mainly shop lifting as couldnt and wouldnt bring myself to commit more seroius offenses. shit fucking life but fuck me was the gear bloody good back in the 90s as im sure most of u can relate here. never will we get gear like that again no matter how fkin hard we shop.
got myself into treatment 4 weeks just outside bristol and then on to secondery treatment in the most wonderful of places bournemouth. when i got there my whole life changed so much that even i had to pinch myself, look in the mirror and ask " is the really happening to me"
women were interested in me never had so much sex in my first 6 months there boarder line addiction my councilor would say.
met a women settled down, got a mortgage, started my own business, got a dog, (fuck me sounds like trainspotting ) went abroad bought a car etc.....
lost business, sold flat, split up with long term partner, met new girl who lived in taunton. came to bournemouth to live with me and then she wanted to go back to taunton to live for good which ment if i wanna be with her then i have to go with her and fuck me i love her so i moved back to taunton.
got a job in taunton met a friend i aint seen since i last used 12yrs ago. he was pinned to fuck and i asked the question.......3 weeks later hadnt so much as touched my missis sexually, constipated now have about 6 numbers for various dealers on my phone and last phone bill was 3 figures.
no script to this day and i moved here 11 months ago. still with the missis, she has no clue iv used as i tell her my behaviour is down to depression.
so as i write all this shit which if ur still reading it its cause u r as bored as me, i think to myself move back to bournemouth pack ur bags and go, leave all this shit behind and although i love my women for my own sanity and health i should leave her. Its this fuckin place that brings me down. i know everyone u shoudnt and knowone i should but god do i love her and yet i still do this her and to myself.
maybe i dont really love her i know i love scag she is def my mistress at the mo and the missis keeps asking if im seeing someone else. well i guess i am and i love her and i def need to leave her as she will only end up killing me or taking everything i own.

I have done it myself mate, Where ya from? can we meet up? i'd like to think if i landed on an amount worth talking about off a reliable source, then i would help as many people as i could ( not the rats who rob their granny's ) but decent hard working folk, like what most of us on here SEEM to be !

`just finished the night shift patroling the streets of taunton like the true five0 man i am they dont call me copper lee for nothin u know (altho ginger hair i have ) so guess i aint gonna get my first bust of an internet forum. back to the drawing board. what gave it away i wonder was it the life story in less than a 100 words that did it or the plea for gear which u were ment to take seriously? i mean come on like i would fking meet up anyways.
now if there r any dealers on this here site then do me a fav and flood the South west with premium and quick smart life is dull enough round these parts.

No offence taken at all mate, were all in the same boat, (the paradise lost innit) and I wouldn`t blame anyone for attempting to try and get hold of something, it`s just I would not be surprised in the slightest if the sh1t hit the fan in the process.
With regards to meeting hassan are turkey in the EU now? I remember the greeks taking a dim view of your passport if you returned from a day trip with a turkish stamp on it. Don`t think they would be too impressed at the kilo of horse in my backpack either.

your spot on mate, the Greek customs certainly didn't take kindly to me coming back across their dotted line with a Turkish stamp! I mean i was only a couple of days AWOL . My other half was even less pleased considering i was only supposed to be there for a couple of hours! I blamed the donkey who gave me directions back to the harbour, nothing to do with the dark, sticky substance his owner sold me!!!
Things are still a bit mixed up around these sides, an awful lot of shit, a fair bit of stuff that looks the part, smells the part, even acts like it should until the final chapter when it all just fades away miserably . Then there is a little of the real thing but at an extortionate ££££.
So i'm back across the channel in an hour, do a bit more xmas shopping & all. At least i'm out the way for a night, which gives me the chance to make a little money, instead of spending a load on ?

GOODERICH so ur sayin bristol has got good then!! my m8? lives down there well weston -super -mare and my mates will be glad 2 here of that as he is popin back up here 4 xmas i mite send him a txt asking 2 bring some up wiv him sell 2 me mates and make a killing. all depends on size for £££s can u let us know wot sizes they are please gooderich mate will be very greatfull
and as to like people are saying on here anyone can access this site so if thinking of meetin up wiv someone i would get a good rapore going first before anything coz u never know what could be the out come so stay safe u know...........
