In a historic vote, the Senate Appropriations Committee has approved an amendment that would let VA doctors recommend medical marijuana to veterans in states where it is legal.

Three separate marijuana reform bills have been filed in the Louisiana State Capitol. They include a restrictive medical marijuana bill supported by law enforcement, and two separate efforts to reform the state's harsh sentencing laws.
