The legalization movement is making greater and faster progress than ever before -- more and more people are realizing that prohibition doesn't work.

With nearly two million annual visitors to our web site, StoptheDrugWar.org is the #1 source for news, information and activism promoting sensible drug law reform and an end to prohibition worldwide.

The more we do at StoptheDrugWar.org, the faster the reform movement will grow and the sooner that minds, laws and lives will change.

Join our 2010 Changing Minds, Laws & Lives campaign today:

THE TIME IS NOW

  • 2009 saw the first national polls finding majority support for marijuana legalization. Outliers, yes, but mainstream polls show the trend to be unmistakable -- support will go unambiguously over 50% soon.

  • The appalling drug trade violence in Mexico just across the border in Mexico is generating discussion within influential circles about drug prohibition as a whole. The upcoming California ballot initiative will fuel this even more.

  • Other factors, such as Congress being more ready to enact incremental drug policy reforms -- and like 14 states having medical marijuana laws but the sky not falling -- are fueling discussion too.

THE STRATEGY IS WORKING

While the road ahead is still not an easy one, we are truly seeing more hope for good things to happen now than has ever been the case before. But like so many nonprofits in this economy, StoptheDrugWar.org is wrestling with funding issues. We need your support now more than ever to continue to get the word out and build the movement. The more we do, the faster the reform movement will grow and the sooner that minds, laws and lives will change. Please donate to StoptheDrugWar.org and support the cause today -- with your help we can win this.
