One gets a complete education on prohibition 2.0, the personality type of the drug warriors, and excellent ideas on how to make things better. Just too bad our lawmakers don't make this a weekly must. If they did they might actually propose some helpful legislation, like full relegalization.

I read DWC faithfully, and I salute you for your efforts to end this most egregous policy. I would like to see a ledger, assets on one side and liabilities on the other, regarding probihition. On the asset side, list all the good things that have come out it and on the other, all the bad. Ask for suggestions from your readership what to write in. I suspect it would be one lopsided balance sheet.
End the Evil War on Drugs!
I love Drug War Chronicle, it is one of my favorite emails of the week when it comes in and I tend to read about every story offered in the chronicle. Keep up the good fight, and I'll keep reading and helping to educate my friends and the people I am around here in Jacksonville, FL about the deleterious effects of the drug war on real people. Especially the poor and un-educated, who do not know all of their rights during a police encounter. I want to make a difference and would love to intern in the summer of 2010. I am a former division I college football player who has been battling serious back problems, especially since being injured at FSU in September. I am passionate about ending this draconian and inhumane drug war almost to the point where I am ready to devote my life to the cause of ending this evil drug war that causes so many lives and families to be ruined...
