Medical marijuana bills are moving in New England. Last Wednesday, a Connecticut joint committee approved a bill there, and the following day, a New Hampshire Senate committee approved one there.
Although some legislators raised concerns about possible conflicts with federal law, Connecticut voters don't seem to share those concerns. A Quinnipiac University poll released the same day as the committee vote showed that 68% supported the medical marijuana bill, with only 27% opposed.
In New Hampshire, the Senate Health and Human Services Committee approved Senate Bill 409 on a unanimous 5-0 vote. The vote came after a 2 ½ hour public hearing earlier this month.
The bill would allow patients or caregivers to possess up to six ounces of marijuana and "an amount of usable marijuana from up to six plants." It would also create a patient registry, but not a distribution system.
"If a seriously ill patient and his or her doctor believe marijuana may be the best option, government should not interfere with that decision, and I'm very pleased to see unanimous agreement from this committee," said the bill's primary sponsor, Sen. Jim Forsythe (R-Strafford).
"This vote will bring hope to New Hampshire patients who shouldn't have to wait any longer for safe, legal access," said Marijuana Policy Project legislative analyst Matt Simon, who has been working the state house. "The committee appears to understand that these laws are not causing problems in states such as Vermont and Maine, or surely we would hear about them here in New Hampshire."

Is it not mans natural state to be drunk or stoned or at least buzzed? look through out history, the cave men are no different from the amazon tribes today who sit around and do exotic plants- wasn't the christian bible written on wine, some times written drunk other times buzzed? through out history it wasn't Goats or cows milk- it wasn't coconut milk but it was wine, beer, saki, whiskey, rum and smoking. History just mentions about sweet tobacco- and incense. was the snuff they snorted any different from today? Or generation is introduced to technology and these gods in white coats suddenly claim we are nothing more than chemical reactions and electronic pulses- As they deny us the right that is not only natural, historical neurological , ancestral but also holy to us - Holy ! Yes, that illogical that does not fit into a computer- that fine line man must master between use and abuse- that holy spirit that holy smoke, these are some of the joys God has given man and the monks of Carmina Burana wrote of during an illiterate time in history, but now we know it took drugs and courage to settle the old west anyone would be a fool to believe that the future would be any different the only difference is are we going to hand over our freedom as well as our nature for this new world controlled by computers? read more in the books @amazon.com
NH bill flawed
They got it wrong here. Big mistake here. I hope they correct this
cause it will be a problem:
XII. “Usable marijuana” means the dried leaves and flowers of the marijuana plant and any
22 mixture or preparation thereof, but does not include the seeds, stalks, and roots of the plant and does
23 not include the weight of any non-marijuana ingredients combined with marijuana and prepared for
24 consumption as food or drink.
This means the police can count all trim leaf as "usable" and patients/CG will go over their limit.
Usable marijuana is the bud only. When they count your trim you'll go over quick. The weight of trim will astound people.
