On March 9, members of Congress
introduced H.R. 1184, a bill to repeal the Drug Provision of the Higher
Education Act, with the largest number of starting sponsors (56) that the
bill has yet had. If you are a US voter, then your help is needed
to build on this momentum to get this bill passed.

if you don't think your Rep. would support this bill, it's still important
to write -- it could make the difference in how much opposition we face
when the legislation comes up for a vote.

legislation in the Senate.
If you live in Rhode Island,
click here to ask
your state legislators to support legislation just introduced (at our suggestion)
that would have the state make up for federal aid lost by Rhode Island
residents because of the drug provision and put the state legislature on
record calling on Congress to repeal the drug provision.
If you live in Arizona, click
here to ask your state legislators to support legislation (also introduced
at our suggestion) to put the state legislature on record calling on Congress
to repeal the drug provision.
