Ted Cruz included drug laws among his examples of "imperialism" on the part President Obama, in remarks on CNN following the State of the Union address tonight. It sounds like Cruz was referring to the guidelines DOJ announced that tolerate Colorado and Washington's marijuana legalization systems, although he did not elaborate so I'm partially guessing.
Assuming that's right, one has to wonder how a Republican who is supposedly for smaller, less intrusive government and for states rights, can define respect by the administration for states' decisions to roll back our incredibly intrusive prohibition laws as "imperial."
Of course we have been making such observations for decades.
