Two men have been killed by police in drug raids in Miami Lakes, Florida, and New Orleans. The one in Miami Lakes was armed; the one in New Orleans apparently was not. Chronicle story here.

Of course they say the man in the miami lakes shooting was armed....But they don't say that he was protecting himself and his home while they SWAT broke in on a "no knock search warrant" which is totally unconstitutional. They shot him after he surrendered and was putting his weapon on the floor..bunch of sick pigs....I knew this young man and he was not a criminal, he had no wrap sheet and never been arrested...supposedly sold pot? and oh yes he owned a couple of firearms for which he carried a license.Once again...they used excessive use of power and force..When is this going to end? they are all trigger happy and full or roid rage...This man did not deserve to die for this...arrest him on the street then go in and rang sack the home like they did...if that's what they need to do... The laws around these type of search warrants must change..and these Drug Wars only lead to death,...yet people die everyday from smoking and alcoholism.
