5 Ways to Avoid Getting Busted for Pot
The activist-media badasses at AlterNet let me do a big front page story today on how to avoid a pot bust. You might have seen it already, cause this thing got a good amount of traffic, but if you missed it and you aren't yet sick of my know-your-rights lectures, then check it the heck out. And while you're at it, send the link to that friend of yours who's always pushing their luck.

Nice to see the basics of good sense in encounters with police.
Does anyone know if it is illegal to examine weed on the street? Even if you don't buy or touch it? Say a dealer wants to sell you some, but all you do is look at it. Is that illegal? Also, I heard it was better not to answer the door to the police at all. Make them come back with a warrant. Not to even go outside and talk to them. Comments?
It is better not to answer
It is better not to answer the door or even show yourself to them, but if you do, just tell them you won't open the door. You can talk through the closed door too, of course only if you wish to talk at all. More you tell them more they know about you and each question, each answer, makes them more interested in your life and you are putting yourself in troubles. In Europe we either say no comments or refuse to answer the questions. We also do not sign anything they give us. But always read! Then refuse to sign it. You don't have to. There is no law forcing you to sign any document. It's not you - it's them who are being paid for filling papers - if you don't sign, it's like the cop wrote it all down himself and told to court you did it.
