How Come the Dutch Smoke Less Marijuana Than Americans?

You don't have to look very hard to find drug war zealots insisting vociferously that Dutch drug policy is a raging trainwreck. But the truth is that rates of marijuana use in the Netherlands are far lower than ours, despite the fact that they sell awesome pot over the counter seven days a week to anyone over 18.

That's why Dr. Fredrick Polak, a Dutch psychiatrist and drug policy reformer, has spent years trying to get U.N. Drug Czar Antonio Maria Costa to acknowledge and address the success of Dutch marijuana policy. He's asked Costa about this on 4 separate occasions so far and each time the U.N. drug czar changed the subject. Here's an awesome video of Dr. Polak causing Costa to go a little nuts (seriously watch it, it rocks).

Anyway, Dr. Polak has teamed up with the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union on a campaign to continue confronting Costa until he actually gives an intelligent response (or admits he doesn’t have one). They're asking for our help and they've made a cool new site where everyone can participate. Check it out.

legal cannabis

    consfearacy

Legalizing Cannabis would drive a wooden stick into the heart of the "drug war". The "drug war" has never been about the "kids". Bringing "the kids" into it is a tool of deception. How can the blood-thirsty american government be expected to back off its war on the Cannabis plant? The Dutch ain`t fools you see. Land of the free and home of the incarcerated. ain`t we just having so much fun?!..

The reasons:

...it's for "the children"

...it's about "the message" we're sending

Gets us the dubious distinction of the "World's Largest Incarcerator of its Own Citizens" - 5% of the world's population, and 25% of the world's prisoners reside in the United States of America, "Land of the Free"

The Drug War is a SUCCESS!!!

Prohibitionists have surrendered control of the marijuana market

Dutch have made marijuana boring. They've taken all the "outlaw" thrill out of the market and they've restricted how marijuana is sold and where it is sold. It's quite telling that marijuana use among Dutch youth is still below tobacco and alcohol use in their country and less marijuana use than jail-happy America.

No War Against Drugs Stress and People Smoke Less

Organically grown marijuana relieves stress . The Dutch dont have an illegal government terrorizing them over herbs like America does. In America people are bullied by unconstitutional leaders so more cannabis is required to relieve the stress of continuous forced fraud. It also has everything to do with the violence of fraudulent prohibition which changes the chemistry of the brain and body, causing mental illnesses. Remember the largest stock market profiteers who insider trade marinol are the people who force the war against drugs fraud into motion. Attacking people over herbs causes the stock market value of petrochemical copies of those herbs to soar. That is why the petrochemical drug corporations pay for unconstitutional laws to exist ; for stock market insider trading profit along with the profits from mental drugs forced on people to treat the mental illness caused by the violent frauds who run the war against drugs.

Playing Politics with Antonio Maria Costa

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”—H. L. Mencken (In Defense of Women, 1920)

Terrorism, after all, is the ultimate misuse of fear for political ends.  Indeed, its specific goal is to distort the political reality of a nation by creating fear in the general population that is hugely disproportionate to the actual danger the terrorists are capable of posing.”—Al Gore (February 5, 2004)

The two preceding quotes were taken from a March 4, 2009, publication of the American Journal of Political Science, Vol. 53, Issue 1, pp. 90-107, “When Can Politicians Scare Citizens into Supporting Bad Policies,” by Arthur Lupia and Jesse O. Menning.

Costa appears all too familiar with a terrorist political approach to the drug war given his advocacy for the ridiculous marijuana laws outside the Netherlands. I think he is unlikely to respond to a question whose answer would in any way reduce the general public’s unfounded fears concerning marijuana use. Without the induced fear factor, drug prohibition would already be dead.

Antonio Maria Costa is insider trading Wall St petro drug stocks

Antonio Maria Costa, being the terrorist plunderer that he is ,knows that keeping fraudulent war against drugs policies in motion fraudulently inflates the global petrochemical drug corporations/pharmacies stock profits. Terror/war/plunder based leaders such as Costa are nothing more than petrochemiceutical drug lords/cartel who are getting away with the same crime that landed Martha Stewart in prison, along with sadistic crimes against humanity. Why arent these war monger frauds arrested for continually breaking their own laws? No sane person would force a war mongering, double standard based monopoly on everyone but themselves and try to pass it off as legal. We need to remove all fraudulently occupying dictators from from power at all local, state, federal, global and private levels. Congressman Dr. Ron Paul and many other folks have proven that war mongering/prohibitions are unconstitutional and just plain fraudulent. We demand that all these unconstitutional leaders be arrested for their crimes and their terrorist double standards be removed from public policy !

Wall Street Global Petrochemiceutical Drug Corporations:

Are an unconstitutional government.

facts

For years I've been hearing that the "Dutch smoke more pot" than anyone else and what a disaster it's been. Then I hear the opposite. Who has the facts? Where are the two sets of conclusions to the data?

re facts:

Simple common sense.

Americans Use Cannabis More: Facts this!

To relieve stress caused from unconstitutional leaders and to protest to their unconstitutional fraudulent prohibitions and wars !
