Prescription Drug Overdose

I lost my only son in August of this year, as a result of multi-drug toxicity. He had been seeing a "pain management doctor" and was given prescriptions for 2 weeks worth of medication and just 2 DAYS later was given the EXACT SAME prescriptions, but obtained them at different pharmacies. What can be done about these "doctors" who are ruining our children's lives by being irresponsible in dispensing medications? Isn't there some way for us, as a society to make the healthcare officials more responsible in dispensing medicines like candy? He was give liquid Roxicodone, Oxyxontin, Valium, Xanax and Soma.. All of these were for "injuries" that MRI and x-ray did not justify. My goal is to make these doctors step up to the plate, and "DO NO HARM", as their hippocratic oath demands. Any suggestions?? I also want to do something in my son's honor to memorialize his death, and to keep other mothers from going through the hell I am going through. Prescription drug use is sweeping this country and something needs to be done about it. Sincerely, Robin B
