Vancouver's sixth homicide has been identified as the last member of a family crack cocaine business.Earl Seymour and three cousins used to run the crack in Vancouver's infamous Down Town East Side.Earl has been identified as the sixth homicide of the year and the sixth drug related killing of '08.Ken was killed in Glace Bay N.S. and his brother Don was wounded at the same incident. In a seemingly separate incident a 25 year old man,a bouncer from a down town club, was wounded at a mixed martial arts event on the Musqueam reserve at the gym there.Elders claimed no knowledge or permission was sought or given for the event. The Seymour's were busted for distribution and sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty in 2001.It would seem Earl wanted to start up the family business again and met with foul play as a result.I guess the days where anyone could set up in business are over and gone.Drugs in Vancouver are now very organized and turf is viciously fought over.Earl found out the hard way.
