Ron Paul on Medical Marijuana

Ron Paul shows Giuliani, McCain, and Romney how to talk about medical marijuana without sounding like a monster. Hint: tell everyone you care about sick people. Voters love that stuff.

Ron Paul, supposedly a fringe candidate, seems to understand formerly cherished conservative principles like "states rights" better than any other republican running.

The success of Paul's campaign is yet another demonstration that smart and compassionate positions on drug policy are neither exclusively liberal nor politically suicidal.

Ron Paul Right On The Mark Here

Guliania, McBought, and Romneya* (and most of the Dems) are sleeping all over the place, especially with the pharmaceutical industry.

And they would rather have you "juiced up" or "healed up" on some sort of synthetic poppy or NSAID (meds that kill and injure daily, even when used correctly) than use an Ancient Herbal that has never killed.

Morphine and cocaine-based drugs, are ABSOLUTE MEDICAL MIRACLES for so many patients and so many medical situations, like surgery and post surgery, for instance.

BUT, for many people and for many medical situations, MARIJUANA IS MORE EFFECTIVE AND MUCH SAFER.

The three Repugs I mentioned above are true bottom-dwellers: keeping safe medication from sick people to further their warped agenda. Sick sh*t.

Conventional medications kill approx. 100,000 people a year -- from properly prescribed and properly taken meds -- (this figure doesn't even begin to touch on the deaths caused by improperly taken, improperly prescribed, illegally taken, etc...)

Approx. 100,000 people die each year from FOLLOWING DOCTORS' RECOMMENDATIONS!!! (JAMA study that looked at all the hospital deaths sometime in the early 90s.).

Death by medication or by prescription is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. (JAMA info).

According to DEA Judge Francis Young, in his conclusion to years and years of court battles about rescheduling marijuana -- to allow it to be prescribed, like morphine and cocaine:

"Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man. By any measure of rational analysis cannabis can be safely used with a supervised routine of medical care...There are simply no credible medical reports to suggest that consuming cannabis has caused a single death."

No frickin' deaths from marijuana toxicity in 5,000 years; but for some reason (hmm?), Docs are shoveling potentially deadly meds down patients' gullets by the tonnage.

Even the DEA Judges are asking their attack dogs to stop torturing medical marijuana patients; but $ makes the world go around...

Patients suffer and die daily, because of this illogical and irrational war on patients; and despite the FACTS, people perpetuate the kakati/Reefer Madness a million times a day (frickin' zombies and dunces).

But most everyone who reads this site knows all this stuff.

*Interesting fact for the conspiracy theorists, romneya (noun) is a shrub akin to the poppy. (Plastic-Poppy-Pushers from Pluto?).

Ron Paul for President

Thank You for at last recognizing Dr Ron Paul. We know he is the only presidential candidate with any common sense. Ron Paul would legalize Marijuana and put an end to these stupid drug laws.
Look at all the young men (and women) in this country that will never be able to vote because they have a felony over a small amount of Marijuana. Let us not fail them; we have to be their voice of freedom. Vote for Ron Paul in the Primaries. Get registered as Republican now and VOTE! Don't let Political Party lines divide us in our efforts to bring back our individual liberties. And for Pete's sake get off the sofa and spread the word "There is hope for America! Ron Paul for President in 2008". If you do nothing, nothing will change. Vote for Ron Paul and inspire others to do the same. We Will Win.

Only candidate that is right

Ron Paul is the only candidate (that has a chance) that wants to end the Drug War. He understands it's cost both in human and financial terms. Everyone whose proiority it is to end drug prohibition should register Republican and vote for Dr. Paul as well as spread the word (and drag your friends with you to register and vote ON TIME...then celebrate afterwords). Even if you don't agree with all Ron Paul's positions, Congress will handcuff some of the other positions. But the Drug War is about enforcement which is at the direction of the President's Executive branch. So, vote fro Ron Paul, for freedom! Peace.

Thanks for telling the truth

The "mainstream" media won't like it, and as with the prostitution-issue, they'll try to paint it dishonestly, as we've already seen, but they can't fight our logic on the internet. We're winning despite a bought and paid for media, with people power. Want proof?

Only one House member received no contributions from the state's largest corporate PACs: maverick Republican Rep. Ron Paul, a libertarian and frequent critic of big business who currently is running for president.

"They're very aware that they cannot influence his votes one way or the other, so they generally do not bother to give him money," said Mark Elam, campaign manager of Paul's congressional re-election race.

Follow the money.

Ron Paul and Big Business

I'm so glad to have a chance to ask for info from a Ron Paul supporter. I have been watching him carefully every chance I get. And I have been very favorably impressed by the things that I have heard. It must be said that I am a Progressive (leftist) so my interest in Mr. Paul is of no small signifigance. I can't believe that I am actually considering voting for a Republican. But having said this, that is also why I am an Independent. One thing that all Progressives understand is that ALL roads lead back to corporations----let me repeat----ALL roads lead back to corporations! Corporations are the sole reason that this country is in the toilet. If someone would share with me his stance on corportate power I would consider voting for him. Any reply would be so appreciated. I would love to hear from any and all Ron Paul supporters respective of this issue. Thanks

Ron Paul is a RACIST

Ron Paul is supported by Stormfront, the main Neo-Nazi website in the US.

Here's an example of Stromfront's connection to Ron Paul(WARNING-Neo Nazi white power fascist site!!!):

He has accused African-Americnas of "having no intelligence" on matters of politics. He says he wants to withdraw troops from Iraq-only to redeploy them on the Mexican border to fight immigrants.

Ron Paul is the most rabidly anti-immigrant of all republican candidates. Here's his writing on the subject on another nasty Nazi website:

Here's some choice tidbits from this nasty little screed:

"We must reject amnesty for illegal immigrants in any form. We cannot continue to reward lawbreakers and expect things to get better. If we reward millions who came here illegally, surely millions more will follow suit. Ten years from now we will be in the same position, with a whole new generation of lawbreakers seeking amnesty."

Birthright citizenship similarly rewards lawbreaking, and must be stopped. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the perverse incentive to sneak into this country remains strong. Citizenship involves more than the mere location of one’s birth. "

Pardon mon reality check but is an anti-statist (ie government dictating personal behaviour) site, and Nazis are the ultimate statists, wanting to literally legislate culture via things like drug prohibition and gun control.

Illegal immigrants - the ones that don't steal other people's social security numbers enabling them to pay taxes (via identity theft) - burden the system we all pay for with the sweat of our brows, which is the very opposite of someone who simply minds their own business while using drugs but doesn't pick honest people's pockets via exploiting the system - that's theft, drug use isn't. big difference. theft is a crime, but laws against drug use are themselves unconstitutional and therefore constitute TREASON.

our founders fought and died for our property rights - including those over our own bodies and the right to own/use drugs - and i for one am grateful for their sacrifice and am sickened to see it besmirched by socialist TRIPE like Prohibition, as is Dr Paul.

if Nazis like him, it can only be because he's not into social engineering and doesn't believe in suppressing unpopular opinions, and it is this same ethic that underpins his position on Prohibition.

I really appreciate that you

I really appreciate that you acknowledged "the ones that don't steal other people's social security numbers," because it is so frustrating to hear so many anti-immigration 'Know-Nothings*'. The immigration debate is a lot more complicated than I have ever heard discussed in mainstream media; U.S. industry (esp. Agriculture, and Poultry to a lesser degree, to say nothing of Construction, Landscaping or food-Service) is heavily dependent on (illegal) immigrant labor.

Ron Paul

Why do people think immigation reform is the same thing as anesty. We Did this in the 80's only to be revisiting the topic again 20 years later, same problem. Immigration reform is not saying "okay your here you can stay!"; reform is just that; reforming the system so that it doesn't take 10-15 years to be able to come legally. I think that all these people that keep saying its racist are in fact racist themseves.Hispanics are NOT the only illegals here. Because Ron Paul thinks OUR borders should be secured that makes him a racist! I think we know who the real racist are!

Finally a presidential candidate saying something new

I've like Ron Paul's answers in debates and this sensible approach to marijuana laws and sentances is the icing on the cake! Ron Paul for President!
