Help Track Candidates' Positions on "Vote For Marijuana" Web Site
[image:1 align:left]StoptheDrugWar.org has teamed up with Vote For Marijuana, a new web site that's building a database of all state and federal politicians and their public statements/votes/pledges related to marijuana policy. We hope you'll join the team by submitting information from your local races on the site.
Vote For Marijuana's goal (and ours) is to enable any voter to see all the local politicians running for (and holding) office, and what each politician has said and done about ending or continuing marijuana prohibition and its parts. For that we need activists from each state to help.
Visit http://www.voteformarijuana.net/getinvolved to learn how to become a Vote For Marijuana moderator in your home state, or just check out the front end and see what the system already knows about your local politicians!

major party candidate here, NY assembly
In case they don't have time to list me, I'm Robert Goodman, the nominee of the Conservative and Republican parties for NY state assembly, AD 80, and I'm for legal marijuana.
A major contribution to reform politics
People who think there is no good reason to vote should be advised that this new website will empower them, give them a good reason to go to the polls and to get all their friends out to vote, as well. Thank you so much for providing this resource. I'm going to tell everyone about it! You guys are the best.
very helpful
Summaries such as these, which detail all the political candidates' positions on cannabis, are extremely helpful for voters who care, but who have limited resources for political research into candidates' positions. This is made even more difficult for voters when candidates duck and dodge and equivocate on issues like cannabis. One must look at their voting records, their official statements, and must have the context to read between the line as well; all of this requires time and resources from voters who often have little time or resources to spare.
Way to go!
It's about time we got something like this
It's about time we got something like this.. long over due. I have no problem becoming a one-issue voter if it helps send a message.
