WAMMfest 2010: The Life in Green

Submitted by dguard on
ADMISSION: FREE with a suggested donation ($4.20). All donations will benefit the Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana (WAMM), whose members are critically and terminally ill patients. PROGRAM: Again this year we honor our community for the courage to protect seriously ill patients during the last 17 years. WAMMfest is our annual festival organized to thank our community and public officials for all the support and encouragement since the DEA raid on our collective garden and the arrest of Valerie and Mike Corral in 2002! We take this opportunity to create safe space for patients and to respond to the ignorance surrounding medical marijuana by creating hope and focusing on civil liberties. WAMMfest will feature amazing performances from the Sensory Tinge, Jason Bond and the Committee, Sherry Austin, Sharon Allen, Keith Greeninger, and Wooster. Our emcee is Santa Cruz legend “Sleepy” John Sandidge. Vendors and sponsors are encouraged to contact our office and visit our website (wammfest.org) for further details about how to acquire a booth and how to help support WAMM. WAMMfest is looking for volunteers to assist throughout the day as well; there are many ways to help out! Sign up now, it’s fun and helps so many people. The Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana is a collective of patients and caregivers, providing hope, building community, and offering medical marijuana on a donation basis to seriously ill patients with a doctor's recommendation. We provide safe access to a safe, organic supply of medical marijuana for the treatment of terminal and chronic illness, to relieve suffering. Come out and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in Santa Cruz with your favorite medical marijuana organization! This event is patient friendly. http://www.wammfest.org/ Feel free to invite ALL your friends!!!
