So don't do them
Nobody here wants to force you to do drugs. We just don't think you should send (mostly poor) people to jail for using them, nor should use make any of us criminals. It's about freedom of choice.
Please be the first to cast a stone
for i love Jesus and will smoke my lords herb and ascend to heaven with a smile on my face for i have taken my life as a gift and have cleansed my body of the brands my sinful government and have grown only the most precious of fruits and it seemed the more i loved my plants and my lord and the church i was building the greater joy i gained . my buds were tended by Gods hand my fruits untouched by the serpent until something greater than me something something bigger than any amount of books i could read in a lifetime while tending to my church properly, something that had been here lifetimes before me and i attempted to gain knowledge from it. What i didn't know is soon my fruits would be bitter and my herbs dry. i asked why Lord is this happening, he said i have done nothing to disturb the garden you went looking for the tree of knowledge and simply got your hands dirty. again over come by the constant curiosity i again went to 'it'. As soon as 'it' knew me 'it' did not love me for who I TRUELY was and wanted to change me this was not the lord i knew i repeated that as i watched them take everything from me. i knew then to reaffirm my faith on the one and only God so now before i ascend to heaven the smile comes from the herbs i so loved and i will be persecuted just as my twin brother for loving these herbs that awaken my truth, but what came with smile was followed by a felling truely magnificent and can not be found on this planet. the tears running down my face is from the glourious bright lights of heavens kingdom. I am the apostle Thomas twin brother to Jesus of the 21st century North America .
I get what you are saying and

re: Hugs On Drugs
If something as strong as love cant stop people from doing drugs what will? Will the drug war ever stop? All those people that ‘use’ need to realise how much it hurts their family and friends. We understand that not all druggies have problems but the amount of people who do them and do have problems is at least 70%. I mean come on people.
Reply to Hugs and Drugs
Addiction is stronger than love and life itself. When under the influence, nothing in the world matters except more drugs. Not all people are the same but the majority of addicted people are. I've been there, done it and finally woke up but not till I lost it all, family included and went to prison. Yet with all my experience, it's almost impossible to help others see the road ahead when using drugs and alcohol. They all know better then me until they fall. I believe I've heard every excuse in the book why it's ok to use. I probably used them all myself at one time or another. So, for those that are reading this and are using, don't fall to hard, you may not get up again.
plants
Scientific classification:
Here is what we set a war against'
Please read this'
Plants differ in their tolerance for heat, cold, and moisture, so when selecting plants, gardeners must take into account the climate of their region. Gardeners also evaluate the soil type and how much sunlight falls on the proposed site, factors that affect the types of plants that can be grown in a particular area. They consider, too, the plant’s life cycle—how long it takes a plant to grow, flower, produce fruits or seeds, and die. Annuals such as petunia's bloom and produce seed the same year they are planted, then die when cold temperatures set in.
Cicely, also myrrh, anise fern, and sweet chervil, common name for an herb with leaves that smell strongly of anise or licorice, member of the carrot family. The name cicely is also used for a related genus of herbaceous perennials (plants that live at least three years and have nonwoody stems) with fleshy roots, tiny white or yellow flowers, and cylindrical fruit. Both the herb and the genus are also called sweet cicely.
Maybe the drug will fight back like the swine did' If you declare war on something expect to be fought' weather on earth or in heaven If you threaten to kill it.
Who started this great war that never ends" On of all things a plant' we really people could we survive without plants? We would parish so where at war with ourselves, the bad man. IF it was a plant they could exterminate them all' If it where a man they would have to do it one at a time. So Chang the name of your war OBOMA to corruption' Look around you it is everywhere' get your teem together' you will never win against a fragile plant' if you do we will die.

Drugs
I agree that yes cannabis does help some people with ailments etc.. Regardless as to what they do, a person does become addicted to it as to narcotics, alcohol and other drugs. One of the reasons cannabis is illegal is because of it's addiction. I have worked with drug and alcohol abusers for many years. Most users first respond is, cannabis is not addictive or I can quit anytime. Yet there lives are screwed up because they can't quit. When people are addicted to drugs, they will do almost anything to get what they need, including criminal activities. Most of our crimes are drug related, including alcohol. Any drug that alters the mind should be made illegal unless administered by a Dr.. But that will never happen because of the money the government makes off alcohol and the money that exchanges hands with street drugs. This world is all about money and not about life. Life has very little value alongside money, money, money, money.
Merry Christmas to you all and don't do drugs/drink and drive.
Stop the madness!
The covert alliance of psychiatry, drug makers & congress.
American drug laws are arbitrary and unreasonable. The prohibition of botanical substances protects only the industry, and allowing synthetic substitutes to be advertised is detrimental to public health. But the greatest problem with American drug laws is that they are not effective in controlling drug use and are, in fact, counterproductive.

"Look, we understood we couldn't make it illegal to be young or poor or black in the United States, but we could criminalize their common pleasure. We understood that drugs were not the health problem we were making them out to be, but it was such a perfect issue...that we couldn't resist it."

"The anti-marijuana campaign is a cancerous tissue of lies, undermining law enforcement, aggravating the drug problem, depriving the sick of needed help, and suckering well-intentioned conservatives and countless frightened parents. Narcotics police are an enormous, corrupt international bureaucracy ... and now fund a coterie of researchers who provide them with 'scientific support' ... fanatics who distort the legitimate research of others."

Slavery: Another Fine Product Still Made in the USA!
Which western country never fully abolished slavery?
SLAVERY IS STILL LEGAL in the USA. Contrary to what we may learn in school, the American Civil War did not see the complete abolition of slavery in 1865. The 13th Amendment to their constitution reads "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude except as punishment for a crime..."
Slave Labor Means Big Bucks For U.S. Corporations
Great numbers of newly freed blacks were quickly 'convicted' and forced to work without pay in state prisons. For those unfortunates all that happened was that ownership of slaves transferred from private parties to the state. Today, with the advent of private, profit-making prisons and prison factories slavery still exists and is moving back to the private sector.

"The Single Convention Treaty could easily be nullified. There is no reason to stand for this. Every country that has signed that has broken the rule, and it’s legal tradition that when treaties are broken, people can resign the treaty. The Single Convention is not the end-all argument for decriminalization. Decriminalization has shortcomings in every way. It doesn't address the basic issues."
