I can't help but feel that this is just the beginning of a corporate take-over of medical cannabis. Compassion has, from the start, ruled our hearts in this movement and compassion is not a word I associate with the corporate world. Cut-throat, bloodthirsty, money hungry those are words I associate with them. I know we are trying to make our movement more "respectable" to gain more public support for our cause but, I am very leery of this. Remember, for many of us, it was corporate controlled medicine and big pharma that brought us to the medical cannabis movement. I think we should just practice some caution and common sense here is all.

The Hippies and Peace or Passion and the New Age
I don't see it so much as a corporate takeover, but more a takeover by something that long ago took over corporations. But I don't think anyone will get very far by pursuing that line of thought, so I'll tell you what I see happening to cannabis consumers and passion advocates now: the same thing that happened to the hippies and peace advocates then: they began to think more about how they could fit in to live more comfortably and it just sort of fizzled out. Interesting that you should highlight (with inverted commas) 'respect' in your post, because I think that's what a lot of it's about. I agree with you about the sense of practising caution, but I'm not sure I know how to go about doing that here, there or anywhere.

McD, I am open minded; however, they say in these job requirements: Must pass the background test. I just wonder what that means. Will a good person that was caught up in the "drug war" and who has a "non-violent" record, now be offered a job?
For many years, we were not wanted. Many of us have been refused over and over again because of simple "felony" charges that are non-violent drug charges. I am with caution too.
