The Research and Policy Reform
Center has an immediate opening for a Media Officer in Washington, DC.
The Center is a newly established Washington-based congressional affairs
and public policy office that engages in education and advocacy on issues
concerning human rights and civil rights, including criminal justice, indigent
counsel, drug policy, and Burma.
The Media Officer will develop
a communications strategy for the Criminal Justice Advocacy Alliance (CJAA),
a coalition of civil rights, criminal justice, religious and human rights
organizations with a broad vision of the reforms necessary to change the
over-reliance on incarceration in the United States.
RPR will also be working
on drug policy reform issues, including the Higher Education Act drug provision.
