The Pennsylvania Coalition
to Save Lives Now (PACSLN) is seeking a Project Manager to:
-
Build an effective statewide
program facilitating and supporting effective prevention and harm reduction
efforts directed towards the health risks of injection drug use, including
HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other bloodborne pathogens.

Educate and motivate Pennsylvania
policy makers, pharmacy associations and others about the public health
benefits of making clean syringes available to IDUs and other harm reduction
and prevention interventions.

Develop relationships with community
resources working towards harm reduction/syringe exchange programming.

Organize to build and coordinate
community support for access to clean syringes and harm reduction within
PA.

Provide technical assistance
and serve as a resource for information and advice to grassroots community
workers throughout Pennsylvania, assisting them in launching and maintaining
regional syringe exchange and harm reduction programs based on best practice
models.

Help create a framework for
education to clinicians on the benefits of dispensing syringes to IDUs.

Coordinate and attend Steering
Committee meetings.

Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements include drive,
determination and commitment. Experience working with people with
HIV and/or IDUs is useful, as is a Bachelor's degree in related discipline,
but any comparable experience will be considered. Graduate degree
highly desirable. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
is essential. Candidate must possess a current Pennsylvania driver's
license and have access to an automobile.
The job is part time, approximately
25 hours/week, and is supervised by the Chair of the Steering Committee.
