Two very different viewpoints:
"Teens must break their wall of silence about classmates who
deal and use drugs and report them to school authorities."
- Joseph Califano, Director of the Center for Addiction and Substance
Abuse (CASA), in his statement accompanying the release of their survey
showing that America's schools are far from "Drug Free."
"One of the greatest harms associated with the Drug War in poor
communities is the development of enormous networks of snitches. This practice
creates both mistrust and violence and does enormous psychological damage
to a community."
- Jerome G. Miller, Author of "Search and Destroy, African American
Males in the Criminal Justice System"
