constitution

It is that damn drug exemption to the Constitution that otherwise sound conservatives have managed to find. I think that Richard Nixon wrote it in invisible ink somewhere within the document.

Matter of Interpretation

"Bong Hits 4 Jesus" could be interpreted this way:

Bong Hits make you feel good. Therefore, substituting "Feel Good" in the place of "Bong Hits" we get:

Feel Good 4 Jesus.

The five Catholic justices who decided against the plaintiff might have decided differently had they truly thought about what the banner might imply. Certainly the school official would not have ripped down a sign saying "Feel Good 4 Jesus." Clearly for some people, the drug war is in the mind of the beholder .
