First Time

Submitted by David Borden on
I'm 17 years old and have been in treatment for 3 years. I've been out for two months, and my goal with writing this blog or whatever is just to write whatever's on my mind. Everyone's addicted to something, whether it's the mom who's set on drinking her starbucks chai tea lattes every day, or the father who busts his balls at work for countless hours tryin to make the money that he convinces himself he needs, or the brother that sits in the basment poppin caffeine pills to feed his video game habit, or the grandparent that longs endlessly for their deceased spouse to return to them just one more time..... the point is, these behaviors are viewed by society as normal, while drug users are labeled criminals, pieces of shit, lazy fuckups. This seperates the latter group from their human identity, when in fact the most human thing one could do is seek pleasure. That's all for now, not really sure what my point was or why I wrote that. Probably doesn't make sense
