November 3rd was a good day for drug reform ballot initiatives.

Before Drug War Chronicle [13] writer Phil Smith turned in for the night yesterday, marijuana legalization initiatives had passed in New Jersey [14] and Arizona [14]. Oregon [15] had decriminalized all drugs, and legalized psilocybin psychotherapy. DC's Decriminalize Nature init [16] for entheogenic plants had passed. And Mississippi and South Dakota [17] had passed medical marijuana.

It got better, with legalization states now also including South Dakota (!) and Montana, a political breakthrough in red and reddish states. The Chronicle will post a piece soon, but I'm noting it here in the meanwhile.
