The Alter Net news today reported that America was ready for legalized marijuana.Sounded pretty good to me until I opened my daily paper and saw an article by one Alan Ferguson saying that in spite of everything he believes he now has to admit that it's time to take the control of marijuana out of the hands of the drug gangs and legalise the drug.Alan is a very intelligent and well read man with a very conservative bent.I had been advocating to him for almost a year and I don't claim to have much to do with his epiphany. It's the constant and brutal gang warfare that has pushed him into the legalisation club. There is hope for better things when well meaning conservative columnists are brought around to the conclusion that pot has got to be legal.I only regret that so many young men had to die to show him the light .It would have been nice to welcome him to our camp under more benign circumstances.
Looking for the easiest way to join the anti-drug war movement?
