North Dakota Meth Symposium
The North Dakota Law Review will host Methamphetamine: Casting a Shadow Across Disciplines and Jurisdictions a one-day symposium at the UND School of Law. All lectures are free and open to the public and will be held in the Baker Court Room on the third floor of the law school.
The symposium will be broken into two sessions featuring panelists and keynote speakers from North Dakota and around the country. Session I will begin at 8:00 a.m and will focus on the methamphetamine problem across disciplines. This session is highlighted by the keynote address of Avi Brisman from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Session II, beginning at 1:00 p.m., will address the methamphetamine problems across jurisdictions. The keynote speaker for Session II is Elizabeth Kronk from the University of Montana School of Law. Her lecture will have a special emphasis on Indian Country.
Throughout the day, panelists and keynote speakers will survey various disciplines and professions in an effort to identify the most significant problems associated with methamphetamine. They will explain the current efforts existing within various professions and jurisdictions, and they will highlight strategies and proposals for reducing the negative effects of meth across disciplines and jurisdictions.
