The TRUTH 08 CAMPAIGN is a fundraising drive for a multi-pronged strategy from StoptheDrugWar.org to educate, reach out and build the drug policy reform momentum by:

1. Growing our website resources so more people can gain access to all the information they need about the drug war in ONE place. StoptheDrugWar.org is now averaging 140,000 visitors each month. We must grow our infrastructure to handle the increasing traffic and major-event news days.
   
   
2. Proving to our elected officials that their constituents want change by keeping them informed about the TRUTH, lobbying for new legislation and organizing successful major reform efforts, as we did with the Coalition for Higher Education Act Reform and the Latin American Drug Legalization Summit.
   
   
3. Empowering grassroots organizations by providing them with the development support, tools, materials, article reprints and exposure they need to energize their communities… even founding start-ups such as Students for Sensible Drug Policy and Flex Your Rights.
   
   
4. Reaching out to reporters and media professionals — and giving YOU the tools to do the same — to make sure they understand and include the "other" side of the story: prohibition does more harm than good.
