Ending Terror
Does it really take a genius to figure out the much of the "terror" of the world is funded by the illegal drug trade?
Does it take a genius to figure out the much of the reason for the corruption is Mexico, Central, and South America is funded by illegal drug trade because if the market was controlled by legit companies the degree of profit would not be there, money would flow over the table instead of under it, and because companies not guerrillas would manage the industry?
Does it take a genius to figure out that opium funds many of our Muslim enemies?
Does it take a genius to figure out the the legit way to reduce taxes, free up our courts, reduce crowding in our jails, and bankrupt street gangs is to legalize the drug trade?
Would addicts terrorize us in the streets, break into our houses, and hold up convenience stores if drugs were as cheap as they are to produce (even with a profit)?
Do we really want to fight terror or is fighting a war that causes more harm then good but makes us feel morally superior the way to go?

I got involved in this cause, in fact, out of frustration every time I heard about some danger of the drug trade. I remember an NPR story in 1992 about the Crips and Bloods gang members from Los Angeles were traveling to the places in and around Little Rock, Arkansas (this was just after Clinton was elected) because the price of cocaine was higher there -- they came out to recruit and set up shop.
