Terrorism used as Excuse For Searching Employees

For the second time in two years the RCMP have made arrests at Trudeau airport in Mo ntreal, for drug smuggling. The crew hired to load and unload food supplies from the planes have been busted for smuggling cocaine. These are minimum wage employees who jump at the chance to make big dollars to supplement their meager incomes.Because they are aware of the publics attitude towards drugs today. The police decided to throw in the specter of terrorism to engender fear in passengers who would otherwise have just shaken their heads in disbelief. This is becoming a trend in border and travel related drug arrests.I suppose it would be possible to smuggle a terrorist into the country in a garbage can. That's how the coke was brought in.It looks more to me that the cops know that the public,or at least a majority of them.Couldn't care less if people smuggle drugs. It makes an interesting read.Terrorism, however,is still the monster under the bed. This is fear mongering in the true Bush tradition.Let's hope that when GWB does his swan song, this crap ends.
