SWAT SHOT

Last night I happened to be channel surfing and came across what I thought was an embedded videographer doing a story on a forced entry of a Al Qaeda stronghold in Iraq. Typical army stuff, helmets, masks, flak jackets, squad level weapons, guys shuffling along in a camouflaged conga line, and everything available to blow away anyone that objected.
Surprise! What I was actually viewing was a SWAT team raid in a small US town.
You could almost smell the tear gas and taste the fear of the residents as the man and his wife were thrown to the floor.
The other day, our local paper was showing off new weaponry purchased by the town cops with drug forfeiture monies. One automatic weapon a la Terminator had a revolving cylinder of six or eight barrels reminiscent of a Gatling gun. The cops here are pushing for a rifle range for their snipers. Our population is about 28,000 citizens, so I guess we have enough miscreants for a little target practice. Our country puts more of its population by percentage in jail than any other nation, yet we still wave the flag and talk about the "Land of the Free".
What have we allowed to happen?

Drug War = Civil War

The war on people is coming to your town too.
