Man denied transplant because hes use's medical pot

U.W has denied him the kidney that would save his life, but because he use's medical pot for the pain, they won't even put him on the list. Theres got to be something that can be done?

kidney?

I thought it was a liver for his hep C damaged liver. Either way, denying pain medications and successful nausea treatment to him, is akin to other forms of torture. There is little medical fact for denying this man, and more political grandstanding! I understand they said smoking anything was not allowed (aspergillosis risk from using anti-rejection drugs). It is no wonder with the toxicity of the ANTI-REJECTION DRUGS! Pain killers containg acetomenophhen can cause liver damage. NSAIDS can cause kidney damage and severe, sometimes fatal, gastrointestinal hemmorrhage. Those are the "dangerous" drugs! (and they are (OTC) "over the counter") The opiates are some of the safest known to man, when used properly! But, isn't it obvious, the committee is playing God, deciding who lives and who dies? (In the case of liver transplantation, there are no dialysys-like treatments)

This is, in the absence of any new findings about the situation in the medical and scientific literature. None, of which I am aware of, at the present time.

Sincerely,
Michael G Langley, MD
