Legally, you cannot be addicted to cannabis

I generally don't read anything in the Controlled Substances Act beyond the schedules. Recently, I decided to look at the definitions section. The definition of "addict" and "marihuana" make it clear that you can't be addicted under the law. This fact highlights the insanity of cannabis being a class I controlled substance and drug policy general.

We all know, that, which is depicted in the movie, is only in the imagination of a film maker. People who have become dependent on THC, likely do so because of underlying PSYCHOLOGICAL problems, since it can only be "psychologically addictive".
The problem is, the legal eagles don't have enough education to realize the connundrum! They "are doing their jobs" and "only enforce the law". Sounds like "only following orders!!" Same old stuff, what a SNAFU!
And what kind of people are we "bringing up" in the ranks of the police. With all of the criminal activity attributed to them, lately, it makes one wonder if normal citizens should be in fear for their lives, whenever they have an encounter with law enforcement!
