Ketamine
Many thanks to ketamine, during an emergency appendectomy, it destroyed my bodys' ability to break down glutamates. All this means is that I now have a SEVERE allergic reaction to even the tiniest amounts of MSG. This means I have migraine headaches that last 24 hours and are only treatable with injectable Dilaudid. Unfortunately, MSG is EVERYWHERE. If it helps some people, I think its' great, but you should be forewarned about the possible side effects. Before I figured out my allergy, I was suicidal. I couldn't live another day with the severe pain from these headaches. Now I am very careful about what I eat and I actually eat better, but I have to be vigilant and forgo many dinners out because the restaurant business isn't about to give up their MSG. Good Luck!
