Trinity County CA Increases MMJ Patient Guideline to 3 Pounds

Safe Access Now is pleased that Trinity County Supervisors have adopted new medical marijuana guidelines consistent with the SAN recommendation of 3 pounds per patient. The county at the same time increased its garden plant count allowing up to 36 plants per patient, 12 mature and/or 24 immature.

Trinity County joins Sonoma, Humboldt, and Santa Cruz counties in using the three pound per patient supply standard. SAN recommends allowing any number of plants so long as the garden canopy does not exceed 100 square feet. Del Norte, Sonoma, Humboldt, Mendocino and Santa Cruz utilize the 100 square foot garden standard. Congratulations to the patients and County Supervisors in Trinity County.

Trinity and Mendocino County Limits

Haven't been able to confirm the Trinity County new limits yet. I did find a newspaper article about it but so far that's it.

Mendocino county limits are in turmoil, they have dropped the 100 square feet limit and replaced it with 25 plants and 2 pounds. This is essentially entrapment since 25 outdoor plants are going to do better than 2 pounds and 25 indoor plants aren't going to yield enough for many patients. There are some good activists and at least one Supervisor, John Pinches, working on getting things straightened out but its hard to tell if they will succeed. Believe it or not, Mendocino county has not had any action by the Board of Supervisors until this year - they have been relying on a standard set by the late DA, Norm Vroman, and the ex-Sheriff, Tony Craver.

Humboldt County remains stable, but there is an uproar over indoor growing in Arcata in the news following a fire from a fan at a grow house.
