I would be pleased to see a drug education campaign on tv. It would be vastly more effective than a propaganda campaign (and should also include alcohol and tobacco). Don't play with people's minds and emotions like you do when you're trying to sell them a product. It shouldn't be about brain washing people the way a company, for example, tries their best to brain wash the public into buying their products. It should be about giving the public clear, scientific understanding of the effects of drugs. Why can't there be commercials on tv that look and sound like educational videos of the type one would see in a biology class, something for example, explaining how alcohol acts on the brain and how it causes addiction, another commercial explaining how it acts on the liver, another commercial explaining what a stroke is and how cocaine causes a stroke, etc. There could be a whole bunch of them. All you have to do is make a list of, say, the most commonly used harmful substances, and the most common problems that could be caused by those substances, and make a one minute video about each one. You could end up with maybe like twenty of them. I'm sure it would cost quite a bit of money, but doubt it would cost much more than what they have spent in the past. That would be (arguably) worth the money.

When I went to school,Sometime back in the stone age(we called it the 60's).I,who lived in an upper middle class area just got the cop with his tray of glued down samples and absolute horror stories.My significant other,living in the east end around trout lake,got movies that were so graphic,girls left the room to throw up.There were already 3 addicts in her CLASS.Not her grade or the school,her class.Education must be correct,well informed and there should be counselors,informed in the use of these drugs.I still maintain that the only way you may save a young life is with a mentoring program.Most of these kids came from single family homes,usually with a single mother or broken or abusive homes.They have no trust and no respect of authority.They have probably known nothing but poverty.They need a rock that they can count on to be there any time they need you.That's why we don't save many poor or racially disadvantaged kids but save rock stars and celebrity types who have a life to go back to.Junkies prospects are slim and none if no one will take An interest.We need to change our attitudes on who can mentor.They simply must be dedicated and able to be available at any hour ,day or night.I'm just happy to hear we won't be watching eggs fry or x'ers dancing to death anymore.

The only way to save our kids and ourselves from the scourge of drugs which are PUBLIC ENEMY # 1 Is to make all legal drugs illegal and continue the successful prohibition of all current illegal drugs. we can win this if we just make extremely harsh,draconian penalties for anyone using or selling any drug, even placebo which is a glorification of drugs. These harsh draconian penalties will not apply to the global elite or anyone who makes more than 2.5 million dollars per year or at least is in the loop of some who do which will result in complete exemption and official denial. Only the average person who has little to nothing in or near poverty will be punished as these commoners are considered slaves and useless eaters to the global elite.
